Marin Museum of Bicycling Reopens on Earth Day

Who would have thought – COVID closed for over a year? Finally, after all this time, Marin County is allowing museums to reopen at 50% of visitor capacity, so we have been preparing to open our doors... We can once again welcome you to visit!
With our large gallery spaces we can easily handle normal levels of attendance with careful social distancing, and are taking extra precautions to provide a safe environment for our visitors.

Our first week being open, we'll have our regular hours of Thursday-Sunday, 11am-5pm.

After the opening week, be sure to check our "Plan your Visit" webpage for the latest info on our hours. Our schedule may be variable for some time as we get going again.

We so look forward to seeing you!

Virtual Fairfax Craft Faire

The Fairfax Craft Faire is online this year - check out the wonderful selection of vendors, some new to the Craft Faire and some that you might be looking for because you buy from them year after year.

Check back often, more vendors are being added daily and we will keep them up into the new year, so you can support them more than just the one day they would be in the Pavilion - a silver lining to this difficult time.

Shop small and support local! www.fxcraftfaire.com

2020 Business Citizen of the Year Honoree for @Bank of Marin’s Spirit of Marin Awards

The Fairfax Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Stephanie Mohan as its 2020 Business Citizen of the Year Honoree for her long-standing dedication to the Fairfax community and her generous contribution to the Fairfax Business Relief Fund. Stephanie Mohan has been a professional photographer since 1996 and has operated her portrait studio, Creative Portraiture, in the heart of downtown Fairfax for the last 20 years. In addition to her love of photographing Bay Area residents and families, both in the studio and on location, Stephanie is passionate about using her degree in photojournalism to cover social justice events and protests. Stephanie loves having her business in Fairfax and being part of a small town community; she even created a coffee table book of portraits called “Faces of Fairfax” that has become a beloved photo album for the whole town. In addition to her work as a local photographer, Stephanie has also been appointed as Fairfax Artist in Residence. In this role, Stephanie co-produces the Fairfax Art Walk and helps bring art to the town of Fairfax. She has been a vital member of the community for many years, and in 2020, she single handedly put together an online auction that raised over $3,500 for the Fairfax Business Relief Fund. She is a proud wife and mother and has many, many pets!

RoCo Dance - Register now for Fall Youth Dance

The RoCo Dance fall 2020 season will run for 13 weeks, August 24th – November 21st. We are hoping to hold a festive outdoor Tailgate Performance Party in our parking lots on November 20-21.

As the reports on re-opening schools are looking grim and indoor activity is discouraged and not safe at this time, RoCo is going to build an outdoor dance program. We are looking at programming nearly all of our classes outside unless there is a safe reason to allow a class indoors. We will use the parking lots, decks, and any local grass area or parks with surfaces that are “danceable.”
