Welcome Bag Program

 

Let’s welcome new neighbors the old fashion way - Welcome Wagon style! In partnership with the Town of Fairfax, the Chamber has created a welcome packet with useful information for new residents inviting them to participate in local events and jump into the vibrant and sociable community of Fairfax.

The Chamber is asking local businesses to participate by submitting an offer to draw customers into their business, be listed on the Chamber Map and be listed in the Welcome Packet. Email your logo, offer and optional eco-friendly item idea to David at the Chamber. Though all businesses are welcome to participate, please consider joining the Chamber of Commerce to help bring more programs like this to the community and advocate as a group.

  • New residents will receive a hand delivered welcome bag from a council , board or community member to greet them in person and answer any questions they may have.

  • Fairfax history, Important Contacts, Fairfax Town Boards & Committees, Business Directory, Chamber Map, Local Events, Environmental Stewardship, Business Coupons & Offers

  • In 2021, there were approximately 300 new renters and homeowners.

  • Businesses participate by providing a logo and offer in a packet enclosed in the bag. Essentially a local coupon book to bring in new customers. Offers like buy one get one free, 10% off, free bumper sticker or another small item, etc. Email David@fairfaxchamberca.com.

    You can also include a eco-friendly promotional item or magnet. Examples: reusable bag, wildflower seed packets, reusable cutlery, straw or cup/water bottle, recycled paper products and other zero waste promotional products.

  • Approximately every 3 months - Jan, April, July, Oct and Dec

  • Yes, you can! We will rotate reusable bag donations.

  • We would love that! We can include other items in the bag, like a bottle of wine or other useful, green item.
